The North Pole confirms that Rudolph is ready for duty once again, guiding Santa’s sleigh on his Christmas Eve journey. Locally, Santa will be working through light flurries and areas of fog tonight, with temperatures settling into the mid to upper 20s.

NORAD is once again tracking Santa and his reindeer team, continuing a holiday tradition that began in the 1950s to keep families around the world updated on Santa’s progress. You can follow along in real time at noradsanta.org.

Santa is expected to have no trouble delivering gifts overnight. Road crews, along with police, firefighters, and emergency personnel, remain on duty to keep communities safe, and UC Today extends a sincere thank you to all first responders working through the holiday.

Here’s a look at the holiday forecast:
Christmas Eve will be cloudy, then gradually becoming partly cloudy overnight, with a low around 27. Winds will be calm, becoming south around five miles per hour.
On Christmas Day, expect increasing clouds with a high near 37. Winds will become north at five to nine miles per hour during the morning.

From all of us at UC Today and our partners at Sunny 105.7 and Channel 98.9, we wish you a safe, warm, and Merry Christmas.
