Pennsylvania residents who qualify for the state’s Property Tax and Rent Rebate program have until December 31 to submit applications for the 2024 rebate year.
The program is open to seniors 65 and older, widows and widowers age 50 and older, and residents with disabilities who are at least 18. Income limits for both homeowners and renters are now set at $46,520, an increase tied to adjustments in the Consumer Price Index. Applicants should remember that only half of Social Security income counts toward eligibility. The maximum rebate available is $1,000.
