Bears Take Down Rockets in Double Overtime Thriller

The Union City Bears boys basketball team was in the Bears Den on Friday night as they tipped off their season against the Titusville Rockets in a non-region game.

The Bears would start strong, taking a double digit lead in the first half. The Bears would later go into halftime with a 25-17 lead. The Rockets would outscore the Bears 18-8 in the third quarter to go up by two heading into the fourth. The Bears would then even up the game in the fourth to take the game to overtime. The game would remain even as they would go to a second overtime, where the Bears would outscore the Rockets 11-2 to take down the Rockets 54-45 in double overtime.

The Bears will be back in action on Thursday night as they will be back in the Bears Den to take on the Seneca Bobcats.
