The City of Corry Police Department has released information on two recent incidents that led to arrests, including a warrant apprehension and a drug paraphernalia seizure.
On July 23, 2025, around 5:47 a.m., officers on patrol near Spring Street and Chord Road encountered Danielle Shultz, of 249 Essex Street, Corry. Officers discovered that Shultz had an active warrant issued by the Erie County Sheriff’s Department. She was taken into custody without incident and later transported to the Erie County Prison.
In a separate case earlier this month, on July 11 at 10:58 p.m., Corry Police stopped a blue Volkswagen near 10 E. Airport Road for a driver-side tail light violation. During the stop, the department’s K-9 unit was deployed and signaled the presence of narcotics. The vehicle was seized, and a search warrant was obtained.
Following the search, police found a glass pipe commonly used for methamphetamine. The driver, Josh Apthorp, 39, of 5 E. Airport Road, Corry, was charged with possession of drug paraphernalia.
Both investigations are ongoing, and charges have been filed accordingly.
