A former Union City football coach is facing multiple felony charges involving alleged sexual relations with a student, according to a Go Erie report. Pennsylvania State Police charged Daulton Kerns, 24, with intercourse with a 17 year-old girl, dissemination of sexually explicit material and unlawful contact with a minor.
According to the affidavit of probable cause, the girl told state police she and Kerns had been communicating for a year and sent nude photographs of themselves to each other. She also told police they had sex in the woods behind the Union City Elementary School.
Kerns also is charged with a a misdemeanor corruption of a minor count. Kerns was arraigned before District Justice Denise Buell in Corry on Thursday where a $50,000 unsecured bond was set. Kerns was released. A preliminary hearing on the charges is scheduled for January 27th.
