The Diocese of Erie is proposing a merger that will impact Roman Catholics in Corry, Union City and Canadohta Lake, according to a Go Erie report. Saint Teresa of Avila Parish in Union City, with its secondary mission church, Our Lady of Fatima Church in Canadohta Lake, would merge into St. Thomas the Apostle Parish in Corry.
St. Teresa of Avila would become a secondary mission church of St. Thomas the Apostle;
Our Lady of Fatima would be a secondary church of St. Thomas the Apostle.
A secondary mission church offers at least one Sunday Mass; a secondary church does not.
