The Union City Lady Bears traveled to Youngsville High School on Thursday night taking on the Youngsville Eagles in another region game. The Lady Bears would defeat the Eagles 46-40 ending their four-game losing streak and improving to 5-6 (2-2) on the season. The Lady Bears will be back on the road again for their next game, Monday night against Girard.

“A hard-fought region road win tonight. At the end of the day, it’s a region win and when you can get those when you aren’t at your best is important.” Coach Matt Moon told us in a statement after the game. “We’ve still got a lot of work to do but I’m confident we’ll get there. Practice tomorrow and then we hit the road again to take on Girard. Four games in six days next week but we’re up for everything that comes our way.”
