A Clarendon woman lost her life in a crash Monday afternoon on route 6 in Union township just east of Mitchell Rd. According to State Police at Corry, at 2:18 PM 70-year old Sheryl Devaul was traveling west, failed to negotiate a curve and lost control of the Toyota Camry she was driving. After leaving the south side of the highway the vehicle hit a brick wall and became airborne, struck the side of a house and traveled an additional 34 feet before coming to rest. Devaul was pronounce dead at the scene by the Erie County Coroner’s Office.
State police were assisted by Union City Fire Department and Ambulance, Erie County Coroners office and Dave’s AuTow Service. The crash remains under investigation.
