Racoon Refuse Headed to Court

Raccoon Refuse will be hauled into court next month. A Crawford County judge will conduct a hearing regarding an order from the Pennsylvania Department of Environment to clean up a mess at the company’s transfer station in Spartansburg.
The field order was served August 16th giving the business 48 hours to remove and properly dispose of all waste from the refuse transfer station. The work was never done. The management informed its customers earlier this month that it has gone out of business leaving thousands in the area with no garbage service. The hearing is set for September 13th in Meadville.
