Union City Borough reports on it’s Facebook page that that the borough has has obtained temporary garbage service through Kicker Disposal. According to the report it was the most cost-effective way to provide pickup service at this time. The temporary service will be in effect until the bidding process is complete and a contracted service has been secured.
The Borough will be divided into four sections. Pickups will start late afternoon until the section is completed. Maps are available in the entry of the city building. This week pickup is Tuesday through Friday. Starting August 29 pickup will be Monday – Thursday.
The following rules must be followed:
Garbage should placed at the curb the morning of your scheduled
pickup day. The amount of waste, garbage and rubbish is not to exceed 96 gallons
per residence. Recycling will not be kept separate.
All garbage/refuse/trash shall be placed in a garbage bag and
placed at the curb for pickup. No bulky or large items accepted.
Titusville has hired Tri-County Industries to fill the void caused by Raccoon Refuse. The mayor declared an emergency Thursday and hired Tri County Industries skipping the bidding process.
