Fire Destroys Bowling Alley Near Hydetown

A fire early Friday morning destroyed the Van Lin Lanes bowling alley along Route 8 near Hydetown and Titusville.

Emergency calls for the structure fire were dispatched at approximately 3:20 a.m. Firefighters arriving on scene found the building heavily involved in flames. Officials said the roof later collapsed as crews battled the blaze.

Multiple fire departments from the region responded to assist, including companies from Hydetown, Titusville, Oil City, and Chapmanville. Tanker operations and hydrant supply efforts were coordinated during the firefighting response.

No injuries were reported.

The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
