A two-day community blood drive honoring fallen officer Jacques “Jay” F. Rougeau Jr. will be held in Corry during National Police Week.
The event is being organized through Community Blood Bank and will take place at the Corry Moose Lodge, 332 East Washington Street.
Donation times are scheduled for Wednesday, May 13, from 2 to 7 p.m., and Thursday, May 14, from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m.
Rougeau, 29, was a native of Corry who later lived in Mifflintown. He died in the line of duty on June 17, 2023.
Organizers say the drive is intended to honor Rougeau’s memory, remember fallen officers, and recognize those who continue to serve in law enforcement.
Eligible donors must be at least 17 years old, or 16 with parental consent, weigh at least 110 pounds, be in generally good health, and present a photo ID.
