The Lady Bears softball team was back in action on Thursday afternoon, traveling to Mercyhurst Prep to take on the Lakers in a doubleheader. The Lady Bears would quickly dispose of the first game, which was a continuation of their postponed contest from April 1st, as they would go on to defeat the Lakers 19-3. The second game of the doubleheader would begin shortly after, as it would be all Union City in the contest, as sophomore Alyssa Tingley would pitch a perfect game, as the Lady Bears would go on to defeat the Lakers in that game 21-0, improving the Lady Bears to 9-9 (7-8) on the season. The softball team will be back in action on Tuesday afternoon, taking on the Northwestern Wildcats in the regular season finale.
