The Union City Bears baseball team took the field on Wednesday afternoon, taking on the Rocky Grove Orioles in a region game. The Bears would score seven runs in the fifth inning to take a 9-5 lead, but the Orioles would battle back scoring eight runs in the sixth, to take a 13-9 lead going into the seventh. The Bears would almost complete the comeback scoring three runs in the seventh to bring the Orioles lead down to one, but the Orioles would hold off the Bears rally to win the game 13-12, as the Bears fall to 4-10 (3-10) on the season. The Bears will be back in action on Thursday afternoon, traveling to Cochranton to take on the Cardinals in a region game.
