The Union City Bears softball team was back in action on Monday afternoon, taking on the Harborcreek Huskies in a region game. The Huskies would strike early scoring four runs in the first inning, as it would be all Harborcreek throughout the game, limiting the Lady Bears to only two hits, both coming from Senior Emylee Zielinski. Zielinski would drive in the Bears only run of the contest in the seventh to avoid the shutout, scoring Alissa Leech who reached base on a walk. The Lady Bears would fall to the Huskies 7-1, as they drop their third straight game, falling to 7-7 (5-6) on the season. The Lady Bears will be back home on Tuesday afternoon, hoping to get back in the win column, against the Fairview Tigers in another region game.
