The Union City Bears softball team was under the lights on Friday night, taking on the North East Grape Pickers on Senior Night, as the Bears honored seniors Lucy Higley, Emylee Zielinski, and Riley Hill. It was all Union City early, as they would take a 4-0 lead through two innings. The Pickers came soaring back however, as they would hit four home runs in the game, two by Alexandra Cozzens, as they would go on to win a back-and-forth game 9-7, as the Lady Bears fall to 7-5 (5-4) on the season. The Lady Bears will be back in action Saturday afternoon, taking on the Fort Leboeuf Bison in a huge rematch, after a controversial loss earlier this season.
