Union City borough has received an emergency permit from the DEP for the bank repair on Bentley Run in Caflisch Park. An area of the bank has been eroding and is now approximately 18 inches from the park’s sidewalk. GPI of North East has inspected the situation and recommends Modified Mud Sill Cribbing as a permanent solution, which will require DEP approval. So far the borough office has received one estimate of $17,000 for the job.
