Union City Council established permit fees for the borough’s new street storage and waste dumpsters ordinance at Tuesday’s meeting. The ordinance, which passed last month, requires permits for large items and dumpsters that are temporarily placed on streets in the borough longer than 24 hours. Permits are $40 and are good for 15 days. One 15-day extension is available at no charge. Additional extensions are $15 each. Penalties for failing to comply with the ordinance include fines up to $600.
