Bloomfield Talks Dam and Roads

At last month’s Bloomfield Township supervisor’s meeting questions were fielded from the public regarding the gate repairs needed for Canadohta Lake dam.  It was reported that two of the gates are operational and the lake will be raised as scheduled around April 1st.  The cost for the materials needed for repairs is $57,000 plus installation.
In other business supervisors learned that a $236,000 soil and conservation grant has been approved for the Athens Rd. box culvert project.  The township will be looking into the Economic Growth and  Waterways Grants to possibly help fund projects on Mickle Hollow and Forest Home Roads which have price tags of around $500,000.
