The Spring Sports season got underway on Tuesday afternoon, as the Lady Bears Softball team traveled to Cochranton to take on the Cardinals in the season opener. The Bears picked up right where they left off a season ago, as Lucy Higley, Cathryn Reynolds and Alissa Leech each drove in two runs, while Alyssa Tingley picked up the win, throwing four shutout innings, as the Lady Bears defeated the Cardinals 9-1 to begin the season.
