Scouts and leaders from troops 164 B and G came to Monday’s Union City Borough Council meeting. Scoutmaster Rebecca Pandolph said they attended as part of the Citizenship in the Community merit badge that some of the Scouts are currently working toward.
Borough council normally meets on Tuesday but met on Monday instead so officials could attend the count Fire, EMS & Municipal Leadership Seminar on March 14.
“Our troop meetings are also held on Monday nights at the First United Methodist Church so this council meeting was very convenient.” Pandolph said.
Troop 164 G is the first group for girls and is part of the only full-family Scouts BSA offering currently in French Creek Council.
Cub Scouts are for boys and girls from grades K-5. Scouts BSA are for boys & girls ages 11-17. Pandolph invites those that are interested in joining to call her for more information at 814-566-7987.
