Willow Street Bridge and Chickens Discussed

At a recent meeting Union City Borough Council formally approved using $160,000 of funds received from the American Rescue Plan Act as matching funds for the Willow Street bridge project. Surveying is currently being performed.
Code enforcement officer Terri Migliaccio addressed public comments made at the February meeting saying that she does not single out residents for code violations. Her remarks were in response to chicken owner Kim Uber who stated she felt she and her husband were being targeted by code enforcement while other violations were being ignored in the borough. Migliacco also reviewed a copy of the letter that was sent to the Ubers regarding the upgrades needed to be in compliance with the chicken ordinance.
