Union City Borough Council continued discussions on a residential dumpster ordinance at their Tuesday meeting. The current draft would allow up to 8 yard dumpsters for single family dwellings and up to 10 yards for multi-family dwellings. The proposed ordinance will next go to the Erie County Planning Department which will be followed by a public hearing on the matter. The issue is being addressed by council due to a number of recent calls to the borough office from residents interested in acquiring dumpsters.
