The Lady Bears played host to the winless Rocky Grove Orioles on Monday evening in the Bears Den hoping to build off their momentum from Saturday’s win over Reynolds.

It was all Union City in the game who left Rocky Grove scoreless until early in the second quarter. The Lady Bears dominated the game winning 54-9 earning their second straight win and improving to 8-8 (3-3) on the season. The Bears will be back home on Thursday taking on Cochranton in another region game. “Our press really got us going tonight. The girls had a dominant first half and that really had everyone confident the rest of the way.” Stated Coach Matt Moon. “Rocky Grove plays hard and they’re building their program up just like we had to not too many years ago. Tonight, was a good region win and a great way to start off the week. Now we focus on tightening things up as we head into a huge region game Thursday against Cochranton at home.”
