The Union City Lady Bears traveled to the Fairview High School for the Fairview Christmas Tournament taking on the Northwestern Wildcats. The Bears fell behind early after a slow start, the Bears would get back in the game in the second quarter but would ultimately fall to the Wildcats 40-30. The Bears will be back in action Friday against Fairview. “A slow start really hurts tonight. I’m proud of the girls for fighting back like they do. We just couldn’t get into any sort of rhythm at all.” Coach Matt Moon said in a statement after the game. “It’s tough sometimes coming back after a long break but I’m confident we’ll get back on track. It doesn’t get any easier tomorrow as we head back to Fairview to play the Tigers, but we’ll be ready and are going to give them our best effort.”
