Tuesday’s regularly scheduled Union City Borough Council meeting was cancelled due to a lack of a quorum. At their previous meeting council discussed the need for an ordinance to address the use of garbage dumpsters on residential properties.  Possible requirements being considered are dumpster size, the set back from the property line, and whether dumpsters should have pads, enclosures and/or closed lids.  Solicitor Tim Wachter said he will work up a draft for council to review at an upcoming meeting.
