Written by Cody Rose

It was a packed house in the Bears Den on Monday night for the route 6 rivalry as the Union City Lady Bears took on the Corry Beavers. Angie Hopson would begin the scoring for the Bears as they would go on a 17-0 run to begin the game. The Bears would never look back as they would dominate the game and defeat the Beavers 50-14 improving to 4-2 on the season. The Lady Bears will be back in action Friday night as they travel to Reynolds in a doubleheader with the boys. “We got off to a great start tonight and didn’t look back.” Coach Matt Moon told us in a statement after the game. “The second quarter was sloppy, but the girls came out strong in the third which was great. We’re playing great as a team right now and there’s still a lot we can do better which has everyone excited. Solid win tonight, we’ll be back in the gym getting better this week in preparation for Reynolds Friday.”
