Property taxes will remain the same, but you will pay more for your water and sewer services if you live in Corry.
Corry City Council also voted at last night’s meeting, to raise fees for septic firms that get rid of wastes at the city sewer facility.
The Airport Business Plan was approved. The fire department will get $4,500 that it requested.
A snow clearing ordinance was unanimously approved that could result in a $100 fine if snow on your sidewalk is not cleared away. At a public hearing at the end of the meeting, it was noted by a person on Zoom that at one point in time, the city did clear all sidewalks in Corry. The council explained that doesn’t happen anymore because the equipment is shot, replacement equipment is too expensive and such snow removal would result in damage to yards.
