An unusual criminal case results in a revised sentence for time-served for a Corry man who had pleaded guilty to Indecent Assault. Twenty-year old Breydan Olander appeared in court in Warren County Friday before Judge Gregory Hammond. According to The Times Observer, Judge Hammond explained the procedural complexities at play noting that Olander was 16 when the alleged conduct occurred – and under 21 when he was convicted.
The victim was 8-years-old. Olander was initially sentenced to a 24 to 48 month prison term and was in prison when court officials realized the age issue. The Judge then sentenced Olander to one year two days to two years less one day incarceration but with credit for 369 days time served, making him eligible for immediate parole.
