State Police at Corry report a Social Security scam that cost a Centerville man $3,400. The victim told police a person on the phone claimed to work for social security and told him his account had been hacked. The caller said he needed help to fix the problem and suggested the purchase of gift cards. The numbers on the cards would help the caller locate the hacker.
That did not happen. Police are investigating.
