Spartansburg has hired a Corry firm to pick up its trash and garbage. Rare Breed Refuse started service to the borough this week. Customers can expect bills in the mail soon. Meanwhile, the mess at the defunct Raccoon Refuse transfer station in Spartansburg has been cleaned up. The state environmental agency went to court against Raccoon to get rid of the trash and garbage. Raccoon went out of business leaving thousands of customers without service.
