Things to Do Labor Day Weekend


9 am to 1 pm ~ Farmers Market, Corry City Park
4 pm to closing ~ Wattsburg Erie County Fair, $8 general admission, additional fees may apply for special events
5 pm to 10 pm ~ Findley Lake Harvest Festival begins, wine, food, beer tent, live music, vendors/crafters
5 pm to 9 pm ~ First Fridays, downtown Corry, themed “Costumed Critters”


8 am to 1 pm ~ Flea market at Route 6 Corry Plaza
9 am to closing ~ Wattsburg Erie County Fair, includes frog jumping contest, Spiker helicopter rides, magician Jamie Petrush, parade at 4 pm, live music and more
10 am to 9 pm ~ Findley Lake Harvest Festival ~ live music, vendors, kid’s play area, library book sale, food, beer tent and more
11 am to 8 pm ~ German Heritage Festival, St. Nick’s Grove, 5131 Old French Rd. ~ music, dancing, food, merchandise, beer and much more, information (814) 456-9598
4 pm to 9 pm ~ Benefit for Jim Clayton, diagnosed with acute leukemia, at Union City fire hall. Spaghetti dinner, Chinese auction, 50-50 and whole pig raffle. Adults are $8, children under 10 are $3.
Sundown ~ Light-up boat parade on Canadohta Lake, begins at the diving platform, sponsored by Canadohta Lake Area Business Association


12 noon to 9 pm ~ Findley Lake Harvest Festival

Monday, September 5 ~ Labor Day
9 am ~ 100th Spartansburg Community Fair opens, Spartansburg fairgrounds opens with an ATV rodeo at 9 am
12 noon to 2 pm ~ Chicken BBQ at the Spring Creek Fire Department, 6345 Route 426 ~ chicken, baked beans, macaroni and potato salad, dessert, whole serving $12
